Black Friday shopping checklist for UAE shoppers: before, during and after

Big sales reward people who are prepared. Use this checklist from a week before Black Friday (27 November 2026) to the day your parcel arrives.

Before the sale

• Write your list and set a total budget.
• Note the current price of each item.
• Create or update your accounts and addresses in advance, so checkout is quick.
• Sign up only to newsletters you trust, and ignore links in unexpected messages.

During the sale

• Check that the discount is real by comparing with the price you noted.
• Compare at least two stores for the same item.
• Read the product description, size and photos carefully.
• Check the delivery date and the return policy.
• Prefer cash on delivery, or a payment gateway you recognise.
• Never share card PINs or one-time passwords. A real store will never ask for them by message.

After you order

• Keep your order confirmation and tracking details.
• Inspect the parcel when it arrives, and open it soon so any problem is reported within the return window.
• If an offer was misleading, you can report it to the consumer protection authority in your emirate.

One last rule

Buy things you were already planning to buy. The best deal is the one you would have wanted at full price.
